SunSport has previously indicated that Doak is keen to return to Liverpool after his time at Boro wraps up.

Nonetheless, Palace is a strong admirer, and he is open to moving from his parent club if he doesn’t secure playing time at Anfield.

Additionally, Arne Slot’s team has shown interest in Palace captain Marc Guehi, and it was thought that the Eagles might consider acquiring Doak as part of a potential deal.

However, their £15m bid stands apart from any negotiations concerning Guehi.

Doak has excelled under Michael Carrick, being honored as the Championship Player of the Month for November after notching five assists.

The Scotland international has also netted two goals this season.

Doak joined Liverpool in March 2022 after making his senior debut for Celtic at the age of just 16.

The Reds compensated the Scottish giants with £600,000 to complete the transfer.

He first played for Liverpool in a Carabao Cup triumph against Derby and signed his first professional contract just five days later.

However, his progress faced a setback when he required knee surgery, leading him to miss a majority of the 2023/24 season.

Despite these injury issues, he received a call-up to Scotland’s provisional Euro 2024 squad but had to pull out due to fitness concerns.

Letting go of Doak in January would have a major impact on Boro, as they currently sit fifth in the Championship standings.
