Elvis Chipezeze, the captain and goalkeeper of Magesi, has expressed that their main objective for 2025 is to achieve victories in every match, aiming to rise up from the last position in the Betway Premiership.

At the moment, Dikwena Tsa Meetse finds itself at the bottom of the Betway Premiership with only six points after 10 matches. They have endured losses in their last five games across all competitions following their victory in the Carling Knockout final against Mamelodi Sundowns in November.

These consecutive defeats led to coach Clinton Larsen resigning, with Owen da Gama stepping in as his replacement.

Chipezeze has recognized that their current standing is far from satisfactory, but they are committed to putting in the necessary effort in 2025 to secure more wins.

“We need to keep pushing forward and build on our previous performances,” Chipezeze stated.

“It’s crucial for us to overcome our current challenges since finishing the year at the bottom is not a pleasant situation.

“Therefore, we are determined to achieve positive results in all upcoming matches to help us escape this predicament.”

Furthermore, the former Baroka goalkeeper detailed the necessary steps for the club’s success in the league. “We must continue with what has been working, concentrating on the positives. We should focus on eliminating the negatives, as fixating on them can lead to issues,” Chipezeze clarified.

“Our priority should be on retaining the elements that have proven effective while enhancing our efforts. We need to acknowledge and learn from the mistakes made in previous games.”

Magesi’s first match with the new head coach, da Gama, is scheduled away against TS Galaxy at Mbombela Stadium on Saturday at 15:30.
