He’s recognized for his lively demeanor at the oche, with his iconic mohawk hairstyle being an integral part of his public persona over the years.

Wright’s wife, Joanne, a professional hairstylist, is the mastermind behind his unique hairstyles, spending two hours each time to finalize his looks.

However, before his contest against Stephen Bunting, Wright showcased an entirely different look while being interviewed alongside his wife.

Wright, 54, proudly displayed his natural grey hair, free of any gel or hairspray, and revealed it in all its glory.

His hair transformation is a family affair, as Snakebite revealed that his various colored mohawks were influenced by his daughter’s choices.

He shared: “It’s all about my daughter; she has been experimenting with several different hair colors, and I thought, ‘Why not give it a go?’

“No other dart players have tried it, and it simply stuck with me.

“I view it as my battle paint, ready to face the competition.”

This tournament has proven to be intriguing for Wright beyond the competitive aspect at the World Darts Championship.

He has acknowledged various competitors, while Bunting stressed he would not be swayed by Wright’s “mind games.”

Peter Wright admits he broke down in tears regarding Michael van Gerwen and contemplated quitting darts altogether.

Michael van Gerwen also took a shot at Wright and made light of the Scotsman’s home life as well.

He stated: “He talks a lot of nonsense every year at the worlds.

Peter Wright, yeah. He’s notorious for talking a load of c**p.

“No one takes him seriously on the tour because he doesn’t even have a voice at home, if you know what I’m getting at?”
