Coleen looked glum as she sat in the stands of Merseyside with her sons Kai, 15, Klay, 11, and Cass, 6 – just weeks after losing to Danny Jones in the jungle.

She returned from Australia just in time for Christmas but opted to take her children to the Everton match instead of Plymouth‘s match against Oxford on Sunday.

Her day took a turn for the worse upon discovering that Wayne’s Plymouth team had faced yet another defeat.

The Championship team suffered a 2-0 loss at Oxford on Saturday afternoon.

This signifies their winless streak has extended to nine games, deepening relegation worries.

Plymouth currently sits at the bottom of the league, four points adrift of safety.

There is growing speculation that Rooney could be on the verge of losing his job in Devon.

Following the loss to Oxford, Rooney stated to BBC Radio Devon: “We didn’t create enough chances and failed to stop them from scoring.”

“The first goal resulted from a cross, which is disappointing because we’ve been working on preventing crosses and tightening our defense.”

“The second goal came from their breakaway; we didn’t manage one-on-one defense well enough, and it cost us.”

“I expected more from our performance today, but sadly, we ended up with a loss.”

Rooney joined Plymouth in the summer but has managed only five wins out of 25 matches in charge.
