LUKE LITTLER amusingly poked fun at himself by feigning tears in front of his family after making it to the last 16 of the World Darts Championship.

The 17-year-old sensation clinched his place in the next round with a 4-1 win over veteran player Ian White at Ally Pally.

Littler fought through a slow beginning to achieve TWELVE 180s, concluding with a remarkable average of 97.84.

He is set to face Ryan Joyce on Monday for an opportunity to progress to the WDC quarters.

After his earlier victory, Littler lightheartedly ribbed himself over a past moment in the tournament.

A week prior, the teenager encountered a tough second-round battle against Ryan Meikle.

Littler ultimately won 3-1, despite experiencing a scare.

After that match, he was in tears on stage and was enveloped in a sentimental hug from his parents.

This time, however, he showed no tears.

Instead, he comically trolled himself by mimicking crying as he walked off the stage toward his family.

Littler playfully placed his hands on his face as if to mock tears, but ensured he greeted his parents with another embrace, who proudly watched from the audience.

Following the match against White, Littler stated: “It was challenging. Ian threw everything at me. Every time I hit a 180, he would respond with one, too. I had to stay focused.

“I wasn’t anxious. I needed to adjust quickly. The first set was manageable, and I was ready to go in the second set after the first break.

“That 70 at 3-1 was vital. I don’t think double ten or double 20 like me – and I’m not their biggest fan either.

“The crowd backed both me and Ian. If they start chanting Ian White’s name, I tend to hit a 180.”

“I have watched Ryan Joyce play. He was impressive. I know I need to hit those doubles; a 35 percent average tonight will not be enough. I have to work on those doubles.”
