Reports indicate that TRENT ALEXANDER-ARNOLD has revealed his intention to leave Liverpool for Real Madrid.
The 26-year-old defender is nearing the expiration of his contract at Anfield, which is set to conclude at the end of the current season.
Alexander-Arnold will be able to engage with other teams starting January 1.
According to Spanish outlet Marca, his first choice is to move to Real Madrid.
Liverpool has made several attempts to extend the contract of Alexander-Arnold.
However, the England international is reportedly keen on leaving Anfield.
This leaves the Reds’ management with the dilemma of keeping Alexander-Arnold until the end of the season and risking losing him for free, or selling him in January to gain some return for their homegrown talent.
Real Madrid is said to be patient regarding the matter, willing to wait until the season wraps up but also open to making a deal in January.
They have successfully completed similar free transfers in recent years with players such as David Alaba, Antonio Rudiger, and most recently Kylian Mbappe.
