Today’s sports schedule looks thrilling, but there’s one event that stands out among the rest.

Kempton Park is ready to host the newest installment of the King George, along with an exhilarating matchup featuring Constitution Hill and Lossiemouth. Our expert, Templegate, shares his Placepot selections for this important day.

The Placepot allows you to place bets on a horse finishing in the FIRST SIX races at any event.

You can select multiple horses in a single race, which means your stake is calculated by multiplying the number of selections across the races. For instance, if you choose 2x2x2x1x2x2, that equals a total of 32 lines.

Your stake can start from just 5p a line (totaling £1.60) to 10p a line (£3.20) or more. A payout is guaranteed as long as at least one selection in each race finishes in the placing!

Kempton Placepot tips – Boxing Day, Thursday December 26

LEG 1: Asta La Pasta, El Rio

ASTA LA PASTA did not stay close enough to his competitors last time, finishing third at Newbury after a strong finish. This performance over fences was commendable, building upon his earlier victory at Carlisle. Today, his goal is to remain closer to the leading group and effectively use his stamina.

EL RIO confidently jumped to the front and claimed victory at Sandown last month. He coped well with the distance and has the potential to improve under Kim Bailey. Although raised 8lb in this tougher contest, he still stands a good chance of placing.

LEG 2: The Jukebox Man, Hyland

THE JUKEBOX MAN showcased remarkable skill when winning the Grade 2 John Francome on his chasing debut at Newbury last month. His talent was already evident from his close second place in the Albert Bartlett, and he seems to have successfully made the transition to larger obstacles.

HYLAND has shown consistent progress for Nicky Henderson, especially after winning a Listed event from the front at Cheltenham recently. He has proven his capability over this three-mile distance and is likely to reveal even more potential.

LEG 3: Constitution Hill, Lossiemouth

CONSTITUTION HILL hopes to assert his dominance upon returning after winning this race last year. Despite facing several hurdles that kept him sidelined, his previous accomplishments overshadow those of his competitors. While he is being prepared for peak performance in March, he has shown fondness for this track with victories in both of the last renewals. Favorable ground will further enhance his performance.

LOSSIEMOUTH presents a formidable challenge, benefiting from a 7lb allowance as a mare. Her impressive victory over Teahupoo in the Hatton’s Grace may not have highlighted her full potential, given that the distance didn’t suit her primary rival, and the track conditions were fairly quick. She could build on this success and may even surpass Constitution Hill today. Undefeated in eight hurdle races, she is more than equipped to meet this challenge.

LEG 4: Il Est Francais, Banbridge

IL EST FRANCAIS gave an impressive performance when winning the Kauto Star last Christmas. Although he didn’t succeed at Auteuil last time, he has shown a tendency to bounce back from disappointing performances. He excels in stamina, appreciates firm ground, and is an exceptional jumper.

BANBRIDGE has been awaiting suitable ground conditions and holds a Grade 2 victory at this venue. He put up a strong performance against Energumene last time and will be a serious contender if he can manage the extended distance.

LEG 5: Kientzheim

KIENTZHEIM has a pedigree linked to the 2020 Champion Hurdler Epatante and has been acquired by JP McManus from the same trainer that guided her career initially. She has celebrated a couple of victories in bumpers across the Channel and is set to make a successful debut for Nicky Henderson while sporting the green and gold silks.

LEG 6: Doddiethegreat, East India Express

DODDIETHEGREAT will welcome a return to hurdles after a disappointing chase show and is poised to achieve his second win at this course and distance. He has delivered his best performances on decent ground and runs 3lb lower than last season’s close call in the Greatwood Hurdle.

EAST INDIA EXPRESS secured a determined win upon his recent return at Ascot just six days ago following a long break. He relishes this ground and will pose a notable threat off the same rating if this quick turnaround is manageable.
