The Grinch made an unexpected appearance at Thomas Partey’s family home in a hilarious video where he attempts to steal Christmas gifts.
The Arsenal midfielder, 31 years old, posted the amusing footage on his Instagram, featuring the legendary Dr. Seuss character making off with a variety of presents.
Among the items taken was a shopping bag from the Italian label Prada, along with several beautifully wrapped gifts.
The Grinch then made his getaway through the back door, clutching the presents as delighted family members and children cheered with excitement.
Shortly thereafter, Partey took a family photo with his partner Janine and their daughter.
The trio posed adorably in matching pyjamas for the picture.
Citing the Bible, Partey wrote in the caption: “The earth is the LORD’s, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to him. Merry Christmas.”
The Grinch character was created by children’s author and illustrator Dr. Seuss in the 1950s.
It later inspired a film starring Jim Carrey, where the main character tries to ruin the festive spirit in the fictional town of Whoville.
Partey began his relationship with model Janine around 2022.
Public interest in their relationship rose in October 2023 when Janine announced her pregnancy on Instagram.
They welcomed their daughter in January of this year.
Partey is scheduled to return to action with Arsenal on December 27, facing Ipswich Town at home.
The Ghanaian midfielder has shown his versatility this season, playing in multiple positions including right-back.

This led SunSport columnist Troy Deeney to commend the dependable player.
“He is becoming Arsenal’s Mr. Reliable. It doesn’t matter if you put him as a center-back, right-back, or holding midfielder, he adapts effortlessly,” he stated to BBC Sport.
“He quietly goes about his business and has contributed significantly to Arsenal’s important wins, including one against Palace.”
