THOMAS TUCHEL has conveyed a message to England supporters as he gets ready to officially assume the role of the new manager for the Three Lions.
Tuchel is expected to start his position as the England manager on January 1, which is only a week away.
The former manager of both Chelsea and Bayern Munich, aged 51, has not yet officially started his role but took the opportunity to send holiday greetings to fans on Christmas Day.
In a video posted on social media by England, he said: “A brief message to all our England fans: Merry Christmas and a happy new year.
“Stay safe, enjoy the holidays, and I’ll see you soon at the stadium. Bye”.
Tuchel will commence his responsibilities at St George’s Park next Wednesday, beginning preparations for the 2026 World Cup.
His first match as manager is set for March 21, where England will face Albania at Wembley in the opening qualification fixture for the 2026 tournament.
Although he has not officially taken up his managerial duties yet, Tuchel attended the World Cup qualification draw in Zurich earlier this month, where it is believed the Christmas video was recorded.
Tuchel witnessed how England discovered they would need to defeat Albania, Andorra, Latvia, and Serbia to secure their place in the World Cup in North America.
The Champions League winning coach has largely kept a low profile since being appointed as Gareth Southgate’s successor.

Tuchel will take over from interim manager Lee Carsley, and England fans can expect to see him at stadiums nationwide starting January 1, closely observing the players.
In his initial press conference after being announced as the new manager, he discussed what fans can anticipate from his team under his guidance.
“Experiencing the genuine excitement that surrounds the national team is incredibly special, and we strive to harness that energy,” he emphasized.
“We want to create chances, minimize opportunities for our opponents, and establish a style that reflects the Premier League.
“Our aim is to captivate everyone, and we count on the support from our fans to achieve remarkable things.”
