JAKE PAUL is reportedly in a strong position to surpass his brother Logan in a bid to secure a grudge match against UFC superstar Conor McGregor.
Earlier this month, McGregor revealed that he has accepted an unexpected offer to face Logan in an exhibition boxing event in India set for next year.
As reported by journalist Ariel Helwani, initial talks for the match, likely brokered by Indian billionaire Anant Ambani, have begun; however, neither the UFC nor the WWE have been contacted as of yet.
At first, Ambani wanted Jake to be the fighter facing McGregor in this crossover event.
Additionally, a sensational report suggests he might indeed get his wish.
ESPN boxing reporter Salvador Rodriguez claims that a grudge match between Jake and McGregor is now “under discussion” for mid-2025.
He shared on X: “Sources: Jake Paul vs Conor McGregor under consideration for July, August, or September 2025 in India.”
This eye-catching news follows Jake alluding to a “major announcement in January.”
A potential matchup between Jake and McGregor has been building for nearly four years.
Jake kicked off his pursuit for a multi-million-pound showdown with the MMA star in late 2020.

He began taunting McGregor through a series of videos, which included derogatory comments about the Irishman’s fiancée Dee Devlin.
The pair have exchanged insults over the years, with McGregor recently criticizing Jake’s crossover matchup with boxing legend Mike Tyson last month.
He commented: “A 16-minute spar in sparring gloves. F*** off.”
Paul targeted the UFC’s star last month after McGregor was found civilly liable for assaulting a woman – Nikita Hand – at a Dublin hotel in December 2018.
McGregor swiftly rebutted, pledging to contest the verdict and labeling Jake a “little gay nerd.”
Jake intensified his verbal confrontations with McGregor shortly after the Dubliner confirmed his exhibition bout with Logan.
He posted on X: “Now it all makes sense why Conor McGregor & his management team have been eagerly attempting to get MVP to enter negotiations for a fight between us.
“As we’ve communicated privately and I am now stating publicly.
“The only condition under which we would consider a professional boxing or MMA fight against Conor is if Dana White / the UFC are directly involved in the negotiations or explicitly consenting to discussions.
“Conor is washed up. He needs the Pauls. Logan can win however he wants.”
Former two-division champion McGregor has not competed since suffering a broken leg in his trilogy bout against Dustin Poirier three and a half years ago.
