OLEKSANDR USYK has shared his insights on the highly anticipated clash between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, having triumphed over both competitors in two distinct matches.
Usyk first claimed the heavyweight title when he defeated AJ in September 2021, then solidified his position with a victory in their rematch a year later.
This triumph paved the way for a groundbreaking title fight against Fury in May, which Usyk won by split decision.
Only seven months later, he once again bested the Gypsy King, this time by a contentious unanimous decision.
With this impressive track record, Usyk is uniquely positioned to predict a winner if Joshua, 35, and Fury, 36, ever clashed.
He expressed his opinion to Boxing King Media: “Perhaps it will be Anthony Joshua.”
When queried about Joshua’s potential approach for a win, Usyk, 37, stated: “I’m not certain, maybe by points. I really have no idea.”
Recently, Joshua achieved a fifth-round knockout against Daniel Dubois in September but opted against a rematch.
Instead, Dubois, 27, is set to defend his IBF title against Joseph Parker, 32, on February 22 in Saudi Arabia.
Promoter Eddie Hearn is currently urging Saudi boxing figure Turki Alalshikh to finalize a two-fight deal for Joshua and Fury.

Hearn expressed, “The reality is that the only fight that makes sense for Tyson Fury is against Anthony Joshua.
“This represents the biggest matchup in British boxing history, a bout that everyone will eager to see. That wasn’t a Tyson Fury who appeared to be past his prime.
“He didn’t exhibit a lackluster outing, nor did he look hesitant or show questionable punch resistance.
“Tyson Fury is likely still at the pinnacle of his abilities, only not capable of overcoming Oleksandr Usyk.
“In my view, the clash between AJ and Fury is essential. One will take place at Wembley and then return for Riyadh Season.”
