Here’s how SunSport’s Wally Downes evaluated the match…
Round 1
The regulations appeared to be ignored as Fury arrived at 11:15 pm local time, flaunting a beard that could make even Brian Blessed envious.
If his facial hair was unexpected, the sight of his belly as the cameras captured him shirtless in the locker room was alarming.
His red shorts were pulled up so high that they almost covered his considerable girth—one inch higher, and he could have tucked his nipples in there.
Fury tried to scare Usyk with his intense stare during their final face-off, but the champion remained composed.
The fighters exchanged jabs and tested each other with their lead hands. Usyk landed lefts into Fury’s soft midsection, followed by a headshot that won him the first round. Usyk.

He was cautioned for delivering rabbit punches as he tried to put pressure on the champion.

Round 6
Fury looked troubled as Usyk focused on his struggling body with powerful left shots.

Round 9
Fury showed signs of exhaustion, weighed down by his size, while Usyk took full advantage of the opportunity to maneuver around him.
He was simply too large to dance around and counter effectively.
Fury found himself in a matchup dominated by an exceptionally fit Usyk. Usyk.
Round 10
Fury managed to land a rare uppercut and attempted to work on Usyk’s body. He tried to maintain control of the center of the ring but received several hits in response.
Fury engaged in clinching to drain Usyk’s energy but was met with a left to the cheek instead.
A powerful left from Usyk landed cleanly, sending beads of sweat flying off Fury’s head.
While Fury countered with an uppercut, Usyk’s relentless pressure and strikes were decisive factors. Usyk.

These rounds could ultimately determine the fight’s outcome. Usyk was more active while Fury’s uppercut only grazed Usyk’s guard.
Fury was caught by a combination from Usyk, deflating his momentum.
Usyk pressed on tirelessly, outpacing and outpunching the now-exhausted 20st Fury. Usyk.
Round 12
Fury entered this round aware that he needed a strong performance, but this allowed Usyk to counter successfully.
A series of three consecutive punches landed for the Ukrainian champion.
Nevertheless, Fury continued to fight back, swinging wildly and adjusting his shorts that had slipped from the sweat Usyk had forced out of him.
As part of the crowd booed and jeered, both fighters engaged in a final slugfest for the last ten seconds. Usyk.
