Sources from the Netherlands suggest the individual was conscious upon being transported to a medical facility.
Heracles General Manager Rob Tuessen commented to ESPN, “We are unable to continue the match due to a disruption of public order.”
Luka Kulenovic had given the home side the lead in the 20th minute.
Romano Postema converted a penalty just five minutes into the second half to level the scores.
Groningen found themselves down a man shortly after the hour mark, with Marco Rente receiving a red card.

No official statement has been released by Groningen on their website.
However, a tweet from their official account stated: “The match has been officially halted.
“More information will be provided concerning the future of this game.”
