AMAD DIALLO left Manchester City in shock as he turned the tide of the derby.

The energetic winger earned a penalty, skillfully converted by Bruno Fernandes, just before the end to level the score.

Yet, the best was still to come as Amad cleverly flicked the ball past a rushing Ederson before coolly slotting in a thrilling winner from a tight angle deep into stoppage time.

Here’s how SunSport’s Neil Custis evaluated the Man Utd players…

Andre Onana – 6

He simply fails to instill confidence. He does not effectively command his area, and as seen midweek in Plzen, his distribution from the back often aids the opposition.

However, he was not frequently tested.

Lisandro Martinez – 7

He appears more composed under Amorim compared to previous matches, where he seemed keen to live up to his ‘Butcher of Amsterdam’ nickname.

Delivered an exceptional through ball at the end to set up Amad for the winning goal.

Harry Maguire – 8

Exhibited excellent form in his duel with Erling Haaland, a battle he won.

The decision to feature the former captain in such a crucial match turned out to be spot on. He looks well-positioned at the center of that back three.

Matthijs de Ligt 78′ – 7

A solid performance. He appeared more at ease alongside Maguire than with other center-back partners.

Diogo Dalot – 5

Failed to correctly time his jump, allowing Josko Gvardiol to surpass him for the City opener. He contributed minimally going forward in his wing-back position.

Bruno Fernandes – 8

Missed a crucial opportunity when he was through, sending the ball wide.

However, when it counted at the penalty spot, he remained composed and sent Ederson the wrong way to equalize.

Manuel Ugarte – 7

He positioned himself in front of the back four, diminishing much of Phil Foden’s impact for the home team.

Noussair Mazraoui 78′ – 8

The standout among the summer signings. He played as the right wing-back this time and adapts to any role required of him. One of United’s finest performers on the day.

Mason Mount 13′ – 6

Looked visibly upset when he had to come off early. His injury luck has been dismal since joining the club.

Amad Diallo 90′ – 9

A pivotal moment in his career with an unforgettable derby-winning goal. He made a superb run to meet Martinez’s pass, cleverly flicking the ball past Ederson. Although it wasn’t the cleanest finish, he aimed it on target.

Almost scored an equalizer beforehand with a header, which was brilliantly denied by Ederson.

He also demonstrated sharp awareness to capitalize on Nunes’ back pass that led to the penalty for United’s equalizer.

Rasmus Hojlund 78′ – 6

His most notable moment was a head-to-head collision with Walker, who fell, and an attempt to win a penalty with a small dive.

Nevertheless, he provided a vital through ball for Fernandes that should have resulted in an equalizer.

Subs

Kobbie Mainoo 13′ – 6

Performed steadily after coming on in a deeper role than Mount, allowing Fernandes to advance.

Joshua Zirkzee 78′ – 6

Not the type to dramatically change a game, but he effectively maintained possession in the closing moments.

Antony 78′ – 6

Substituted in to make an impact, but he appears to be lacking the confidence that comes with limited playtime.

Leny Yoro 78′ – 6

Gradually making his way back to full fitness after that injury this summer.

Victor Lindelof 90′ – 6

Had little time to impact the match.
