This particular song is long associated with Dutch legend Van Barneveld, making Grbavac’s selection rather controversial.

A commentator highlighted the unusual situation, exclaiming: “Is Raymond van Barneveld watching? Because someone has taken your walk-out music! Oh my goodness!”

Grbavac’s first match concluded with a 3-0 defeat to Callan Rydz.

After the match, he reached out to Van Barneveld to clarify that the use of the same track was unintended.

It appears a mix-up occurred with the staff backstage at Ally Pally.

In response, Van Barneveld shared a message from Grbavac on X to clear up any confusion.

The message read: “Hello Barney. This song wasn’t my choice and I have no idea why they played it!”
