SunSport is here to offer insight into this promising young talent who is optimistic about his future prospects.

When did Rio Ngumoha join Liverpool?

The young talent joined the Merseyside club in September after transferring from Chelsea, part of Arne Slot‘s early transfer strategies.

Liverpool initiated their bid to secure the 16-year-old in April after observing his impressive goal-scoring ability in Chelsea’s U17 Premier League Cup final against Wolves.

However, Chelsea’s dissatisfaction with Liverpool’s signing prevented him from joining the Kop club’s Under-18s until September.

During his brief time at the club, the forward made a significant impression on Slot, leading to an invitation to train with the first team last month.

Ngumoha recently traveled with the Reds for their Champions League match against Girona.

Unfortunately, he could not participate in the game due to not meeting the criteria for List B in Europe’s top club competition.

His only opportunity to play would have required him to be listed in the 25-man List A squad.
