The semi-finals of the Riyadh Season Snooker Championship have been POSTPONED.
This postponement puts Ronnie O’Sullivan‘s match against Ding Junhui at risk – only hours after the arena descended into chaos due to a lighting failure.
Matches are falling behind schedule in Saudi Arabia, with a delay of one hour.
A statement from WST mentioned: “The afternoon session scheduled for today will now commence at 6 PM local time, 3 PM GMT.
“Mark Allen will compete against Mark Selby for a chance to win the 167 prize and secure a spot in the semi-final tomorrow.”
“The second match is set to begin at 7 PM local time, 4 PM GMT.”
No details have been provided yet regarding the cause of the delay.
This situation could jeopardize O’Sullivan’s upcoming bout with Ding, expected to start at 9 PM local time – 11 PM UK time.
The semi-final for the seven-time world champion may even be entirely rescheduled.
Kyren Wilson is ready to face Luca Brecel after Allen’s match against Selby.

This comes shortly after play was interrupted due to the arena being thrown into darkness.
Zhang Anda was in a match against Ahmed Aseeri in Saudi Arabia when the lights began flickering.
The snooker event in Riyadh kicked off this year, featuring a remarkable $1 MILLION (£780,000) bonus awarded to the first player achieving a 167.
Fans humorously reacted to Zhang’s attempts at this – organizers quickly took steps to address the issue.
One commented: “This lighting issue is ridiculous; I sympathize with Anda, as it could really affect his concentration while aiming for the 147/167.”
