TYSON FURY left a journalist astonished with his foreboding declaration of delivering “serious hurt” to Oleksandr Usyk in their forthcoming rematch.
The Gypsy King showcased an intense attitude during Wednesday’s public workouts, just days ahead of his pivotal bout with Usyk.
Fury donned his training gear for a session with coach Sugarhill Steward but ultimately decided against continuing.
When reporter Claudia Trejos asked, “What surprises do we have in store for Saturday?”
Fury replied, “A lot of pain.”
Trejos, evidently surprised, responded with a “wow,” to which Fury added, “Smash and damage.”
At 36, Fury promised, “A lot of hurt. Serious hurt.”
This British heavyweight faced his first career loss in May, suffering a split decision defeat to Usyk.
Usyk, now 37, became the first four-belt undisputed champion in heavyweight history but vacated the IBF title to secure the rematch.
Fury opted to keep his strategy under wraps by bypassing the standard open workout session.

However, his head coach Steward stated: “It was a brief workout. We gave it our all. Tyson Fury is in top shape right now, and so am I.
“He’s always had a playful side, but there’s a serious demeanor present at the moment.”
“He’s completely ready, 100 percent prepared. It’s typical of our training [intense]…
“I learned from Emmanuel Steward that pain, hurting opponents, and knockouts are always emphasized at the Kronk Gym.
“The harder you work, the greater the reward. The sacrifice. Everything that boxing entails, that’s what he’s bringing to the table on Saturday.
“That is his mindset.”
