There were expectations that he might get a chance under the new manager Ruben Amorim, following the exit of Erik ten Hag.

Rashford, now 27, has unfortunately not managed to convince the Portuguese coach of his value as a top player.

Alongside Alejandro Garnacho, he was left out of the squad during Manchester United‘s victory over Manchester City.

This absence has sparked speculation regarding a possible transfer away from the Red Devils.

Now, Rashford has disclosed that he feels ready for a “new challenge”.

He told journalist Henry Winter: “For me, personally, I believe I’m ready for a new challenge and the next steps.”

Rashford stressed that when he eventually leaves Man United, he will bear no “hard feelings”.

He stated: “When I depart, it will be with ‘no hard feelings’. You’re not going to hear any negative remarks from me about Manchester United. That’s who I am.”

“When I exit, I’ll make a statement, and it will come from me.”

Earlier, he had been linked with Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain as his contract was nearing its end in 2023.

However, he chose to stay at Old Trafford after signing a contract extension last year.

Meanwhile, Rashford received advice from teammate Diogo Dalot.

The defender stated that for players looking to excel at Man United, they must “endure”.

Club legend Roy Keane has even suggested that a departure from Old Trafford might be the best move for Rashford.

He commented on Sky Sports: “We need to see how they respond to this significant disappointment of being left out of the squad for a key match – a brave decision from the manager… he’s setting a standard for these players.”

“I believe that a transfer for Marcus would be advantageous for him.”

“He has been at the club for a long time; a new challenge (would be beneficial).”
