AMAD DIALLO stunned Manchester City as he turned the derby in United’s favor.

The speedy winger won a penalty, expertly converted by Bruno Fernandes, in the dying minutes to level the score.

The highlight came when Amad skillfully flicked the ball past a rushing Ederson and brilliantly slotted home a dramatic winner from a tight angle deep into stoppage time.

Here’s how SunSport’s Neil Custis rated the Manchester United players…

Andre Onana – 6

He lacks confidence and struggles with command in the area, and as observed midweek in Plzen, his distribution often favors the opposition.

Nevertheless, he wasn’t put under much pressure.

Lisandro Martinez – 7

Showed a more composed presence under Amorim, contrasting with his previous play when he tried to live up to his Ajax moniker ‘The Butcher of Amsterdam’.

Delivered a fantastic pass toward the end, assisting Amad’s winning goal.

Harry Maguire – 8

Had an impressive battle with Erling Haaland, emerging the victor.

Bringing the former captain into such a high-stakes match proved to be a smart decision, as he looked well-suited for a central role in the back three.

Matthijs de Ligt 78′ – 7

Contributed a solid performance, appearing more comfortable alongside Maguire than in other defensive pairings.

Diogo Dalot – 5

Failed to time his jump correctly, allowing Josko Gvardiol to head the ball for City’s opening goal. Didn’t offer much support going forward in his wing-back role.

Bruno Fernandes – 8

Missed a crucial chance after being set up by Hojlund, sending the ball wide.

However, when awarded a penalty, he showed cool composure, sending Ederson the wrong way to equalize.

Manuel Ugarte – 7

Positioned himself well in front of the back four, effectively countering many of Phil Foden’s attempts for City.

Noussair Mazraoui 78′ – 8

Stood out among the summer signings. Played as the right wing-back and demonstrated his versatility in various roles. One of United’s standout players that day.

Mason Mount 13′ – 6

Looked visibly upset following his early departure from the game. He has struggled with ongoing injuries and has yet to find his rhythm since joining the club.

Amad Diallo 90′ – 9

Made a memorable mark on his career with a stunning derby-winning goal. He made a brilliant run to connect with Martinez’s pass, chipped it past Ederson, and while it was a bit of a scuffed finish, it ultimately found the net.

He nearly scored earlier with a flick header that was well saved by Ederson.

He was also quick to capitalize on Nunes’ back pass which led to the penalty and ultimately United’s equalizer.

Rasmus Hojlund 78′ – 6

Most of his involvement consisted of a physical contest with Walker and a minor tumble while trying to win a penalty.

However, he made a superb pass to Fernandes, which should have resulted in an equalizer.

Subs

Kobbie Mainoo 13′ – 6

Performed admirably in a deeper role after replacing Mount, providing support as Fernandes advanced.

Joshua Zirkzee 78′ – 6

Did not dramatically alter the game but skillfully maintained possession in the closing moments.

Antony 78′ – 6

Attempted to make an impact but appeared to lack confidence due to limited playing time.

Leny Yoro 78′ – 6

Continuing to work toward full fitness following his injury over the summer.

Victor Lindelof 90′ – 6

Had no opportunity to significantly influence the game.
