ENGLAND manager Thomas Tuchel praised the exceptional form of Chelsea’s Cole Palmer today, much to the excitement of the supporters.
The 51-year-old was present at the 2026 World Cup qualifying draw in Zurich this morning.
During the occasion, he was asked about several of his new players, including the popular Palmer.
When Sky Sports questioned how he would incorporate “arguably the best player in the world right now” into his strategy, Tuchel smiled and responded: “That may be a little too much praise when discussing individual players!”
“Nonetheless, it’s undeniable that he is in fantastic form, and I hope he keeps developing and maintains this level. If that happens, everything will fall into place.
“He is a joy to watch. He possesses calmness, composure, and exceptional precision in both scoring and assisting.”
This season, Palmer has achieved 11 goals and six assists in 17 matches for Chelsea across all tournaments.
Supporters were thrilled by Tuchel’s comments regarding the midfielder, with one fan writing on X: “Just look at Tuchel’s smile when he talks about Cole Palmer…”
Another remarked: “He was genuinely eager to talk about him.”
A third stated: “Together, they will lead England to tremendous success.”

One other fan noted: “I’m feeling emotional… that first image of Tuchel and Palmer together #special.”
Tuchel was also asked about Harry Kane, who faced substantial criticism during England’s Euro 2024 campaign.
Having collaborated with the forward at Bayern Munich last season, Tuchel confirmed that Kane will continue as captain.
“At this moment, there’s no reason to think about a change. Harry has always been an exceptional captain for England. So, why should we consider it now?”
England has been matched against Serbia, Albania, Latvia, and Andorra in Group K.
The World Cup qualifying matches will kick off in March.
