Supporters have cast over four million votes to create a powerful lineup for the Carling All-Star team, which will strive to defend the Carling Black Label Cup against Magesi FC, the Carling Knockout champions, at Orlando Stadium on December 21.

Sipho Chaine, the Orlando Pirates FC goalkeeper, emerged as the top pick among fans, gathering over 63,000 votes.

Chaine leads a starting lineup composed solely of players from Orlando Pirates FC, Mamelodi Sundowns FC, and Kaizer Chiefs FC.

These three prominent clubs face a tough opponent in the energetic Magesi FC, setting the stage for a thrilling Carling Black Label Cup battle between two squads eager to showcase their skills.

Chaine will be backed by a defense that features Pirates’ Jabulani Mokone and Mbekezeli Mbokazi, with Chiefs’ Aiden McCarthy in the center, and Sundowns’ left-back Asekho Tiwani completing the defensive lineup.

The midfield will be anchored by Sundowns’ Gomolemo Kekana and Bathusi Aubaas, with Chiefs’ Gaston Sirino and Pirates’ Relebohile Mofokeng operating on the wings.

Chiefs’ attack will be led by Ashley du Preez and Naledi Hlongwane.

The All-Star team showcases a mix of experienced players and rising stars, including five from Diski teams and six from the Premier Soccer League’s main squads.

“As we gear up for the exciting Carling Black Label Cup, we reflect on a campaign that has seen over four million votes cast,” remarked Kerryn Greenleaf, Brand Director of Carling Black Label.

“The Carling All-Star team has been assembled entirely by dedicated fans in a unique initiative, aiming to defend the trophy they won last year.”

“It will be intriguing to see if Magesi FC, famed for their underdog ethos, can surpass a collective of giants from South African football! We encourage fans to get their tickets early for what promises to be an unforgettable experience.”

“We advise fans to arrive early, as the event will feature remarkable entertainment both on and off the pitch.”

Tickets for the Carling Black Label Cup start at R50 and are available through Ticketpro and Shoprite stores across the country.

Football fans can expect exhilarating matches and an impressive lineup of performers. Additionally, there will be an opportunity to win R90,000 through the Fak’iGoal Uzobona initiative.

This campaign is designed to promote early goal scoring by rewarding the champion fan who accurately predicts which team will score the first goal and at what minute it will happen.

The prize starts at R90,000 and decreases by R1,000 for each passing minute.

The fan that makes the correct prediction will receive the remaining amount, while the first team to score will also get an equal share.

Champion fans will additionally have the chance to choose the Man of the Match, who will be awarded R100,000.

The Carling All-Star team will be managed by coach Jose Riveiro, who guided the team to victory in last year’s Carling Black Label Cup against Stellenbosch FC in Polokwane.

The Spaniard will have a strong reserve bench available to influence the match. Nqobani Biyela will act as the backup goalkeeper, while defenders Dimpho Mdalane, Xolani Cossa, Akhanyisile Sinoti, and Reeve Frosler will start on the bench.

Midfield and attacking options include Mfundo Vilakazi, Sanele Phiri, Simphiwe Selepe, Monnapule Saleng, Thembinkosi Lorch, Patrick Maswanganyi, and Tshegofatso Mabasa.
