Following the game, reporters gathered to speak with Le Bris.

It was at that moment they were quite startled as a ceiling panel gave way.

According to Sunderland journalist James Copley, the incident was caused by a leak above.

A clip of the incident swiftly spread across social media.

One fan humorously commented: “Is that the roof collapsing on their promotion aspirations?”

Another jested: “Just like their current league standing.”

Sunderland initially fell behind when Luke McNally scored in the 62nd minute.

However, Patrick Roberts managed to equalize with a thrilling goal in the 93rd minute.

After the game, Le Bris praised his team’s resolve, stating they deserved the point they gained.

He remarked: “Absolutely, I think we earned it.

“We started the game with great energy and a fantastic tempo.

“We executed our game plan with swift ball movement and organized formations, generating numerous opportunities.

“However, we often found ourselves short in the box to capitalize on our crosses.”

Sunderland is set to return to action this Saturday when they travel to Swansea.
