ANDREW CUSHIN has made an impressive leap from Non-League football with Newcastle Benfield to collaborating with Noel Gallagher in the studio.

This 24-year-old Geordie, who once dreamed of becoming a PE teacher, has also partnered with Aston Martin and recently took center stage at a concert held at the F1 team’s newly revamped £200 million facility.

Cushin has garnered support from Oasis frontman Gallagher and Pete Doherty, and he also had the opportunity to be the opening act for One Direction’s Louis Thomlinson.

His career reached new heights after partnering with Lawrence Stroll’s Aston Martin for a performance at the team’s Soundcheck Concert at Silverstone last week.

Among those in attendance was former England manager Steve McLaren, while Cushin, a die-hard Newcastle supporter, took to the stage.

Cushin remarked, “I’m still getting familiar with F1, but I’m learning fast. Performing in front of an F1 car was a thrilling experience.

“It’s incredible to see Aston Martin Aramco backing music and artists.

“I’ve always believed that music and sports complement each other, and I’m proud to be associated with a brand that promotes creativity and inclusivity.

“Music brings people together, and these events create an extraordinary energy that inspires the team and its fans.

“Now, I consider myself a big fan of Fernando Alonso!”

Cushin began his journey performing at local pubs in Newcastle and secured a manager within three weeks, someone connected to Gallagher.

This manager, who previously worked for British Airways at Heathrow, once found Gallagher’s guitar on a flight and sent it to him in first class.

The two have kept in touch over text messages, and Cushin’s manager, who has been a long-time friend from his coaching days, also attended his second gig.

He filmed a clip of “Waiting For the Rain,” an original song by Cushin, and shared it with Gallagher, who responded favorably.

Cushin produced demos that Gallagher passed on to a record label, propelling his career forward.

Cushin shared, “Noel expressed interest in working on a song with me. That’s how it all began. He’s a great guy and has given me an invaluable opportunity that I’ll always cherish.”

Gallagher not only produced the track but also provided backing vocals and played guitar on Cushin’s 2020 song “Where’s My Family Gone.”

Cushin noted, “Noel’s best advice was to keep hustling.

“He encouraged me to stay focused, work hard, and constantly create.”

The Aston Martin F1 Team Technology Campus includes a new experience center with a stage where Cushin performed.

The facility features a spin studio, running track, gym, and restaurant, which is a stark contrast to the muddy fields where Cushin played during his youth football days.

He expressed, “Unfortunately, I can’t play football anymore, which was a tough decision to make.”

“Shay Given was my goalkeeping hero during his time at Newcastle. I was lucky enough to meet him a few times when I was a kid; he’s an amazing person.”

Aston Martin plans to showcase Cushin at the F1 paddock next year for media, fans, and guests.

His second album is set to launch next spring, along with tour plans covering the UK, USA, and Europe throughout 2025.
