The Stoke superstar, aged 39, swapped his darts for a microphone and entertained the audience at Darts Boston.

The vibrant night also celebrated oche legends, such as Phil Taylor and Raymond van Barneveld, allowing some fans to challenge these iconic players.

However, Lewis surprised everyone by choosing to sing instead of throw darts.

Fans reacted with a blend of respectful silence and excited applause as he performed the karaoke hit Angels.

Perhaps he could have gone with another of Williams‘ hits, remixing it to “She’s the one.. hundred and eighty”!

Known as Jackpot, Lewis has faced some challenging times recently.

He secured the Ally Pally title in 2011 and 2021, but his form has waned.

Additionally, the four-time major champion has been supporting his ailing wife, Sarah.

After announcing a hiatus from darts, he opted out of this year’s world championship qualifiers.

This choice is partly why Lewis will lose his PDC Tour card for 2025.

Nevertheless, he emphasized: “I never intended to put the darts away for good.

“I mentioned I was taking a break, not retiring, and there was always a chance I would return.

“I just wasn’t feeling the drive that I needed to excel.

“My wife has an incurable kidney disease, so we’ve spent considerable time in and out of hospitals.

“Moreover, my daughter has autism; everything was becoming quite overwhelming. While those difficulties remain, we can adapt and manage them.”

So, it was especially uplifting to see Lewis at ease, singing a gentle version of Angels.

He lifted everyone’s spirits further at the conclusion by cheering, “COME ON!”
