RACEVIEW ROAD (2.05 Kelso, nap)
This six-year-old was just getting into gear at the finish of three miles when he placed second at Carlisle last time out. George Bewley’s chaser has excelled on this specialist course, and this marathon distance should suit him ideally. He adapts well to varying ground conditions, and there’s plenty of room in his current handicap rating of 105.
PROTEKTORAT (1.50 Huntingdon, nb)
He secured the Ryanair Chase over a comparable distance last season and should enjoy the soft ground. He made a decent return with a sixth in a Cheltenham handicap and is forecasted to beat Ginny’s Destiny again.
DARE TO SHOUT (3.15 Kelso, nb)
He has thrived since transitioning to chasing, showcasing a strong debut second at Hexham followed by a solid victory at Carlisle last time out. He has considerable stamina, and a 4lb rise for that win seems justifiable.
MATATA (2.40 Kelso, Lucky 15)
He has competed against Grade 1 opponents last season and should prove too strong. He has already shown promise this season with a win and a place at Cheltenham. Gunsight Ridge fell in their last meeting, and they face each other again today. This selection looks ripe for improvement and can secure a victory for the Twiston-Davies team.
