Greaves faced an unexpected challenge by losing the first set, making McKinlay the first player in the tournament to score a set against the favorite.

This unexpected hurdle seemed to ignite Greaves, who rebounded to win 12 out of the next 14 legs.

Throughout the encounter, Greaves hit six maximum scores, cementing her commanding win over McKinlay.

This victory comes after Beau ‘n’ Arrow opted to decline an invitation from the PDC to take part in the World Championships at Alexandra Palace.

The Yorkshire native, who previously overpowered Cameron Menzies in the Grand Slam of Darts, has reiterated that being a women’s world champion means more to her.

Moreover, it was recently revealed that the PDC has barred their tour-card holders from entering the WDF World Championship.

Since Greaves does not have a PDC Tour Card, she commented: “The ladies’ game is exceedingly important to me.”

“While the PDC does well, they lack a ladies’ world championship, which has been a significant goal for me since my youth.”

“My aspiration was to become a women’s world champion, and I achieved that at Lakeside; I wanted to defend it, and I did, making my return essential. I can’t fathom why anyone would suppose I wouldn’t do that.”

Beau Greaves reflects after a strong performance against Fallon Sherrock’s partner, Cameron Menzies, in the Grand Slam of Darts, even though she didn’t progress further.

“It’s a difficult decision. I would love to compete. I’ve enjoyed my play this year more than last year here. Although my results haven’t been as strong, my enjoyment has increased.”

“The ladies’ game is not solely about me, Fallon [Sherrock], Lisa [Ashton], and several others. There’s an entire community of us striving to improve.”

When asked about participating in both events, Greaves confirmed: “Yeah, absolutely.”

“It’s unfortunate that they compel you to make a choice. I don’t comprehend that decision; it confuses me. I think it’s unwise. I would love to be involved.”

“Even if I might not win at Ally Pally, I would make a solid effort and see how I perform – ultimately, my goal is to be a ladies’ world champion.”
