BRYONY FROST has returned from France for a notable opportunity to ride on Grand National second-favorite Intense Raffles.
However, the trailblazing jockey won’t be able to ride the Thomas Gibney-trained Irish Grand National champion in the significant Aintree race set for next April.
Frost moved to France earlier this year after landing an exciting opportunity with leading owners Simon Munir and Isaac Souede.

The wealthy duo owns the six-year-old gelding – currently priced at 14-1 for the world’s most prestigious race – and will campaign him over hurdles this season to maintain his rating.
With regular rider Daryl Jacob sidelined due to injury, Frost will guide Intense Raffles in his seasonal debut at Navan this Saturday.
He will compete against opponents like former Pertemps Final winner Good Time Jonny in the Listed 3m1f handicap hurdle starting at 1.42pm.
Frost has been thriving across the Channel, but has expressed her willingness to come back for the right opportunity.
That certainly applies to Intense Raffles.
Nonetheless, it appears she will need to put aside any aspirations of riding him in the Grand National itself, as Munir and Souede’s retained rider Jacob is expected to take the reins.
Their racing manager Anthony Bromley stated: “Tom’s very pleased with the horse and he’s ready to get going.
“I don’t believe he’s been assigned too harshly for this hurdle start with a handicap mark of 141, but we’ll see how it pans out.”
“Bryony is eager to ride him; she’s coming over on Friday to sit on him and will be riding him on Saturday.”
“Daryl is injured, as is JJ Slevin, both currently sidelined, and Bryony isn’t racing in France this Saturday.”
“This turned out to be a great solution; she’s a fantastic stand-in and we’re excited to see him tackle hurdles.”
“When Daryl returns, he will resume his position on the horse; he’s our primary retained rider in both England and Ireland, and his recovery is reportedly going well.”
“All plans are focused on Aintree in April, but it’ll be interesting to see how he handles the smaller obstacles, as he hasn’t really competed over them due to the different styles of French hurdles.”
Willie Mullins’ I Am Maximus is set to defend his title next year and is currently at odds of 8-1 to do so.
Owner JP McManus also has the highly promising Iroko, who is competing for third in the pecking order at about 20-1.
