After his impressive showing, Palmer was asked by Match of the Day commentator Mark Scott about which part of his performance he was most pleased with.

The victory lifted Chelsea to 25 points, equal with Arsenal in the table, each having recorded seven victories, four draws, and two losses.

Additionally, both London rivals share the same goal difference, having scored 26 goals and conceded 14.

They currently trail leaders Liverpool by nine points, which led to Palmer being questioned about their potential as title challengers.

He gave the BBC reporter a perplexed look and responded, “Nah, it is too early, man.”

Fans found this interaction entertaining, with one commenting: “Palmer is genuinely one of a kind.”

Another stated: “His expression was priceless. I adore him. A true non-PR guy.”

The same question was put to Blues manager Enzo Maresca, who was much more open about why they don’t consider themselves title contenders.

He explained: “We are not ready, and the reason is that teams like Man City, Liverpool, and Arsenal are, for various reasons, better than us.”
