Dominic Solanke from Tottenham was sent home by manager Ange Postecoglou before today’s match against Fulham.
Solanke, aged 27, arrived at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this morning feeling unwell.
After watching his striker, Postecoglou decided it was best to let him take the afternoon off to recuperate.
Speaking about Solanke’s departure from the squad before the match, the Australian manager, 58, mentioned: “He came in and didn’t look well.
“He was feeling under the weather, so we sent him home.
“We wish for a quick recovery so he can return for the next match.”
Solanke played the full 90 minutes during Tottenham’s 2-2 draw with Roma in the Europa League last Thursday.
The new addition has scored four goals in ten Premier League matches this season.
Additionally, he has netted two more goals in European competitions.
Postecoglou also missed long-term injured player Richarlison, leaving Son Heung-min to fulfill the role of central forward.

Timo Werner started alongside Son, with Brennan Johnson playing on the right flank.
The two wingers combined to score the first goal in the 54th minute.
Werner provided a cross that Johnson expertly converted to put Spurs ahead.
However, their lead was short-lived, as Tom Cairney equalized with a strike from the edge of the area just 13 minutes later.
