Snooker star Ashley Hugill astounded fans by achieving consecutive 147 breaks during a practice session.
The 30-year-old, who is a former world amateur champion, reached this impressive feat at the Victoria’s Snooker Academy in Sheffield last week.
He started potting reds and blacks, soon realizing he was on the road to a maximum, completing the clearance in less than 14 minutes.
The Englishman, who claimed the world amateur title four years prior, then re-setup the balls and astonishingly duplicated the feat again, this time taking just 18 minutes.
The venue subsequently shared CCTV footage of the spectacular breaks, tweeting: “Our academy has been operational for almost nine years, and last week, something extraordinary occurred as @AcHugill made back-to-back 147s in match practice.
“We recorded the entire event and posted it on YouTube for your viewing pleasure!”
One fan commented on the video, saying, “What an incredible achievement. Well done Ashley 💪.”
Another noted, “The recovery shots in that second 147 are absolutely insane 🤯👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻.”
A third simply stated, “What a player!”
Hugill made his professional world championships debut in 2022, where he was eliminated in the first round following a 10-5 loss to 2010 champion Neil Robertson.

That same year, he garnered praise from the legend Ronnie O’Sullivan after competing against The Rocket.
O’Sullivan commented: “A big shout out to Ashley Hugill. He’s 27, not very young by snooker standards, but he’s still an excellent player lacking in Tour experience.
“He possesses many admirable qualities, and I don’t dish out compliments without reason.
“Similar to Wu Yize, he has the potential to become a world champion if he continues to grow and receives the right guidance.
“There are ways to approach sports correctly and incorrectly, and both of these players are taking the right approach.”
In reply, Hugill expressed: “That was a tremendous confidence booster for me. I’ve watched that interview multiple times, and my family loves it as well.
“Ronnie has been very gracious; we went for a run together since I’m quite keen on running, and I’ve been learning from him.”
